Please join us for the 10th Annual WWII Weekend at our new location in Horsham.  Stay the weekend and enjoy the event. Please note, this is a one day event for the general public and a weekend event for all reenactors.

  • Check-in begins at 2pm on Friday, May 1, 2020
  • Stay overnight Friday and Saturday
  • Check-out by noon on Sunday, May 3, 2020

    Anyone participating must be at least 18 yrs older or accompanied by parent or legal guardian for the weekend.


    WAIVER OF LIABILITY

    I, the undersigned, do hereby acknowledge that as a participant in the WWII Day Event presented by the Military Living History Association, I freely and voluntarily engage in a hazardous activity for my own recreation, enjoyment and pleasure. I recognize that as a part of this activity other participants and I will traverse difficult and dangerous terrain and obstacles, and transport and care for, detonate and generally manage explosive materials and devices, and transport and use various firearms and other weapons, and I freely and voluntarily assume any and all risk of injury such activity involves.

    For these reasons, I hereby waive and release from liability and agree to hold harmless the following: (1) Military Living History Association, its Officers, Officials, employees, volunteers; and (2) the Horsham Preservation and Historical Association, its Officers, Directors, agents and members; (3) Horsham Township, its Officers, Directors, volunteers and members; (4) All owners and operators of participating vehicles, both modern and World War II era that may be used to transport and move personnel on and about the location of this event. For any and all damages of any kind or nature to my person and property arising out of or resulting from my direct or indirect participation in this event.

    I certify that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older. I further state that by signing this document I have fully read and understood its contents, and that I am voluntarily waiving rights that may be granted to me by Federal, State and Local statues, as well as the common law of the nation.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    Military Living History Association Policy for Reenactors & Vehicles

    • All groups & individuals wishing to participate in event activities must Pre-register by ONLINE Registration, US Mail, or email through ww2weekend.org
    • NO WALK ON’S THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
    • All Reenactors must be listed as a PARTICIPANT OF A PRE-REGISTERED REENACTMENT GROUPS processed and approved by Event Coordinators.
    • All new Reenactor groups & individual registrations will be reviewed and approved by event coordinators.

    • All reenactors who participate in the Battle will receive Reenactor Wristband at registration
    • This is a ONE day event, on Saturday, May 2, 2020, RAIN or SHINE!!
    • All registered Reenactors must be in their period uniform/ period clothing for entry on Saturday.
    • Each registered Reenactor will receive event information for May 2, 2020. The event program will have the list of events for the day, info on the park, and event rules & regulations.

    REEACTMENT BATTLE

    • ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE BATTLE MUST HAVE STAMPED REENACTOR WRISTBAND FOR ENTRANCE TO THE BATTLE. If you DO NOT have a wristband while on the battlefield you will be asked to leave the field.
    • This year we will have 2 Safety Officers / Weapon Inspectors. All weapons & Ammo must be inspected by Military Living History Association Event Safety Officers.
    • No hand to hand combat, No mock executions, No fixed bayonets or unsheathed bayonets/ knives. Do not point the muzzle directly at another reenactor or their vehicles.
    • All Reenactors in the battle will police the field after the engagement is finished. That means No one leaves the field until all the brass is picked up.
    • However outside of the battle while on the grounds of the property the event organizers and property owners are not responsible for any injuries you may obtain or lost/stolen/damaged goods.

    Arrival / Set-up / Breakdown

    • All reenactors may come Friday, May 1 anytime after 2pm to setup and can stay overnight through Sunday, May 3rd until noon.
    • Enter via 900 Governor Road, Horsham, PA 19044.
    • Registration Check In will open Friday at 2pm and close Saturday Morning at 9am. YOU MUST REGISTER BY 9:00 am or you will not be allowed to participate. IF YOU CAN’T MAKE THE REGISTRATION CUT OFF TIME PLEASE CONTACT US at 267-640-2764 so we can check you in for the weekend.
    • When you arrive, please check in, pay $10 Registration fee (CASH ONLY). 
    • Breakdown no later noon on Sunday, May 3rd.

    Camping

    • All groups are welcome to camp on site Friday evening through Sunday morning.
    • Firewood and bathroom facilities will be available all weekend.
    • Digging fox-holes or fire pits are allowed (But must be approved by the event coordinators). Campfires are allowed, in Metal fire rings or Metal Containers and never left unattended.
    • Please respect the historic buildings, monuments, & grounds.
    • You will be responsible for cleaning up your camp site, making sure campfires out with water and fill in fox holes.

    Vehicle Parking

    • Parking is on site, not far from the WWII reenactment area. If you need to unload, please follow the drive way toward the field and you will be directed to your area. If you do not need to unload, just park in the field that is marked Reenactor parking. There may be designated parking sites for only allied troops & axis troops.

    Please understand that the event coordinators have the right remove you off the property (via the Horsham Police Department) for not complying with park & event rules at ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON.

    NOTE to All reenactors , vehicle owners and living historians if you are disrespectful to the event staff, public, veterans, park property, or to each other don’t expect to be invited back next year. If you register and don’t show up for the event, without letting us know, don’t expect to be invited back next year. Thank You!

    The cost is: $10 for all reenactors for insurance and will be collected at check-in. CASH ONLY.
